Mindful Youth

I Am
Joyful, Confident & Creative

A Youth Empowerment program

Taught by Ranjit Deora and his team of certified instructors, Youth Meditation is an innovative health and wellness program based on mindful awareness (mindfulness) principles and practices. Youth Meditation responds to today’s educational challenges by helping students, teachers and parents develop the needed skills to address important issues including stress, anxiety, emotional balance, behavior and learning readiness.

What is Mindfulness?
“Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.” (Dr. John Kabat-Zinn)
This presence increases awareness and frees us from the anxiety and worry that rob us of clarity and focus. When we are living in the present, we are not living in fear of the future nor in the regrets of the past. Scientific research shows that mindfulness meditation is effective in promoting a sense of well-being and improving focus, clarity of mind, concentration, creativity and sleep.
