A certified meditation teacher, Harriet knows a little something about pain. Managing chronic pain can be stressful to say the least. Her journey to finding balance between her personal and professional lives was enhanced by adding meditation to her life tool kit and in the process alleviated her migraines. She finds meditation provides a “reset” button so her mind is fully engaged in creativity and productive in the activities she chooses to embrace. Meditation enhances her physical well-being, provides clarity and helps manage life-long chronic pain.
Harriet worked in the health care industry for many years, and she has been a teacher, mentor and coach throughout her career. Her passions for literacy and education have provided many opportunities to be a community advocate, especially for at-risk children. Other activities Harriet embraces are walking in her neighborhood, cooking for friends, gardening and independent foreign travel to experience new cultures, art, cuisine and human connections.
